Orion Wars

The Orion Wars are described in contact traditions (mainly Elena Danaan and Alex Collier) as a long-lasting galactic conflict, spanning about 600,000 years, centered in the Orion zone. The main motive for the conflict was reportedly the control of the interdimensional and time-travel portal located in the Orion Nebula (M42). On one side was the Nebu Empire (a collective of greys with a hive-mind structure controlled by a Hive Queen) and its allies from the Alliance of the Six (including the Ciakahrr/Draconians). On the other side was the humanoid resistance, especially the Black League, formed largely by refugees of Lyran origin who fled after previous invasions. The conflict almost drove the humanoid species (in a broad sense) to extinction and had no clear winner — the parties reportedly entered into a truce due to exhaustion.
